A Visit to the Islands. The US Virgin Islands.

Hawksnest Bay, St. John

After a long NYC winter of snow (and more snow) and freezing temperatures, I went with SMMT to the U.S. Virgin Islands for a week of island relaxation  We rented a condo on St. John and visited a new beach each morning.  We had our favorites, but they were all beautiful.  We didn't actually do too much: eating, sleeping, laying on the beach, going into the ocean, reading on the balcony, going to the pool.  Not a bad life.

In the shallow end. Somehow successfully avoiding sunburn.

My little friend.

OMG, DONK!

On the ferry to St. Thomas.  Thank you, Dramamine.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas.  The walls of the buildings were built from Danish and Dutch ship ballasts that came over in the 16th century.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas.  What was once a slave market is now a crappy tourist trinket market.

Smoothie shack. Our favorite spot in Cruz Bay.

Strawberry Banana Coconut. Nomnomnom.
