mini-Roadtrip 2011 | Day 1: Corning, NY

We took a little roadtrip across the glorious Empire State, stopping in Corning, NY to visit the Corning Museum of Glass. (Yes, Corning, like Corningware products and such.)

I went to the CMOG many, many years ago and I remember being super impressed by it.  I'm happy to say, years later, the place still impressed.

CMOG is the world's largest museum of glass, with a collection spanning over 35 centuries of glass. That is a lot of glass. There was bad art glass, interactive modules and various demos including Glass Breaking and Hot Glassmaking.  There was even a periscope looking out onto the town of Corning.

I see you!
